Shinhan Bank announced on the 26th that it has signed a business agreement with LG U+ and Mammossix to revitalize Sookmyung Women's University Metaverse Campus.

Through this business agreement, the three companies decided to hold the Sookmyung Women's University Festival, which runs from November 3 to 5, on Snowverse, a metaverse space.

The metaverse space was implemented based on Galaxity, a game platform developed by Mammossix, and plans to create a metaverse campus unique to Sookmyung Women's University using Galaxity's avatar design, item, avatar generation, and chat.

In addition, Shinhan Bank is considering implementing services linked to nearby commercial districts such as major books, clothing, and used transactions between students in metaverse spaces, so it plans to promote simple payment services in metaverse by linking student IDs and accounts.

An official from Shinhan Bank said, "This business agreement is meaningful to build a space called a university campus as a metaverse," adding, "We will implement various financial services on the metaverse campus to establish ourselves as a financial platform in daily life of universities."

LG U+ President Hwang Hyun-sik also said, "It is considered a very meaningful opportunity to introduce LG U+'s metaverse service through this green wave festival, which will be implemented in metaverse space. We will prepare to spread to other university campuses as well."
